Making a Difference

This is the ambition and promise of London & Wharfedale

The Company's Red Kite logo was selected as a symbol of success, progress and regeneration.

This magnificent bird is unmistakable with its reddish-brown body, angled wings and deeply forked tail. It was saved from national extinction by one of the world's longest running protection programmes, and has now been successfully
re-introduced to England and Scotland. It is an Amber List species because of its historical decline.

The Red Kite can now be seen in many parts of the U.K. including soaring alongside the M40 as the motorway passes through the Chilterns and circling along the River Wharfe as it spreads out from Harewood House, Yorkshire.
